Two brothers. One mine.

Two brothers. One mine.

Henrique and Sávio started our Trapiche Amethyst mine in Rondônia, Brazil, in 2016. Today, our family runs a mine-to-market operation — sourcing from our own mine and trusted partner mines, finishing each piece in our factory, and supplying crystal shops in 40+ countries. No middlemen.

Amezoni Crystal Mine

Our Mine

Operating in the Amazon since 2016 — built and run by the Testoni brothers.

It started with a mine.

We grew up in Rondônia, in the Amazon region of Brazil, fascinated by crystals since we were teenagers. When we found traces of an old amethyst mine abandoned since the 1980s, our father backed us. We brought in geologists, mining engineers, forest engineers, and miners — and broke ground in 2016. What we found was not ordinary amethyst. It was Trapiche Amethyst: a rare six-ray star pattern few people had ever seen in amethyst.

We are Henrique and Sávio. We own the mine. We run the factory. We select every specimen by hand. Today, we ship to 40+ countries and supply retailers who build their business on provenance, quality, and direct sourcing.

Milestones That Define Us

2016

The Mine

Henrique and Sávio started an amethyst mine project in Rondônia, Brazil — the mine that would later become the source of our Trapiche Amethyst.

2020

Market Research

We traveled across Brazil and attended the Tucson Gem Show to study the crystal trade, meet buyers, and understand the potential of our rare amethyst.

2020

Trapiche Discovery

Some specimens showed a natural six-ray star pattern. After careful research, the formation pointed to a trapiche-like radial pattern — famously associated with Colombian emeralds.

2022

The Move

We expanded part of our operation to Minas Gerais, closer to Brazil’s crystal and lapidary network, while keeping the Rondônia mine active.

NOW

Mine to Market

We runs a mine-to-market crystal operation, sourcing from our own mine and trusted partner mines, finishing pieces in our factory, and supplying crystal shops in 40+ countries.

The Discovery

Before Trapiche Amethyst Had a Name

In 2020, we had the crystals in hand but no established market for them. We traveled across Brazil learning the trade — visiting lapidaries, dealers, cooperatives, and gem shows.

Then, at the Tucson Gem Show, we stood in front of Colombian trapiche emeralds and recognized the same kind of radial star pattern in our own amethyst. Back home, we researched, compared specimens, and asked specialists to examine the material. The formation was later documented in The Journal of Gemmology.

The Family That Came With Us

In 2022, we moved the operation to Minas Gerais — Brazil's richest state for crystal variety, and the one that would let us work beyond amethyst. We kept Rondônia running. And our parents, who had backed the mine from the first day, moved with us.

That was when our mother started Mariás by Cris — her own line of crystal accessories, cut and finished by her hands. It wasn't something we planned for her. It was something she found.

Our father is still part of the day-to-day operation.

Our Commitment

Mining with Conscience

The beauty of a crystal should never come at the cost of the land or the people behind it.

Pillars of Responsibility

Reforestation

We help restore the forest surrounding our mine, recovering areas that were degraded before our operation began.

People Matter

Our team receives fair wages, training, and long-term opportunities as the operation grows — many have been with us since the mine started.

Ethical Labor

We provide safety equipment, PPE, and transparent working conditions for quarry and factory work.

Legal Operation

Our specimens move through registered, documented, and declared trade — from extraction to export.
